A summary from CW on the recent Tech Nation funding news...
If you work in the CW Team, you can soon tell if there has been breaking news in the technology sector; heads immediately bop up from notepads, laptops and colleagues scout the room to catch a neighbors eye who has undoubtedly read the same example. In the case of last Tuesday, it was the announcement of £21 million in funding to support the expansion of Tech City UK and Tech North into Tech Nation. You can read the notice from Tech City here.
There is a particular line in the announcement that we believe will resonate with a lot of companies, especially our members: We need to think and act as one Tech Nation.
As a technology membership cluster, CW have been advocating collaboration in the tech scene for the past 15 years through our company ethos which is to Network, Learn and Grow. We are fully supportive of the move towards a more cohesive Tech Nation and will continute to plan member driven tehcnology events with support from partners and sponsors. More recently, we have undergone a significant transformation including a new brand and website all of which is part of the company wider mission of 'connecting the digital world'.
We are now headquartered at the impressive Bradfield Centre on the Cambridge Science Park whose primary aim is to champion innovation, something we're fully supportive of.
We look forward to receiving further information on the highlighted clusters which are to form the future Tech Nation.
