Allia are delighted to announce that Emma Mee has joined the organisation in the new position of Accelerator Programme Manager. Emma will be searching for the region’s impact entrepreneurs and will be supporting them through Allia’s sought after Serious Impact programme. Emma is based at Allia’s Future Business Centre in Cambridge and will be supporting entrepreneurs who are looking to make a positive impact.

Emma has impressive experience working with start-ups, and has been active in the enterprise community. Once named an ‘eco-warrior’ and working in sustainability for twelve years, Emma believes in the importance of creating impact on the world. Each venture on the accelerator programme will benefit people, planet, or place and will be equipped to scale up through Emma’s support.

Entrepreneurs who are selected to participate on the Serious Impact Accelerator programme will be addressing global and local challenges with innovative solutions. Emma will be at the forefront of impact innovation, working alongside the brightest and most passionate minds in tech for good, education, community transformation, sustainability, health & wellbeing, and social innovation.

Entrepreneurs will be equipped with ideas and vision, but may need mentoring in areas of business in order to succeed. This is where Emma will lead them through a structured programme to identify exactly what each venture needs in terms of Marketing, Operations, and Finance (with exclusive access to experts in these areas). Emma will lead each cohort as a group, and also offer one to one support.

Emma joined Allia on the 21st February and is looking forward to working with the Serious Impact team:

I believe the solution to some of the world’s most pressing challenges lies within the fresh ingenuity of entrepreneurs. Even those with little business experience can make a significant impact given the right support and encouragement, and I am excited to be able to facilitate that here at Allia.

Paul Hughes, Director of Enterprise Support is delighted to have Emma on board:

We are very fortunate to have Emma join Allia. Her impressive knowledge, experience and energy in enterprise and sustainability will be of huge value to the Serious Impact team, and her passion for creating impact will resonate with the entrepreneurs on the programme.

The next Serious Impact Accelerator programme will open for applications soon. To find out more about the programme and to be the first to find out when applications open, visit our website www.seriousimpact.co.uk or contact us: www.seriousimpact.co.uk/contact/
