New non-executive director joins Marketplace AMP

Bury St Edmunds based Marketplace AMP is delighted to announce its appointed a new Non Executive Director, Jo Vertigan. Jo is the Chairman of the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor Delivery Board and brings with him a wealth of commercial experience.

Bury St Edmunds based Marketplace AMP is delighted to announce its appointed a new Non Executive Director, Jo Vertigan. Marketplace AMP clients include SIGG, Blistex, Astral, Rough Guides, Stokes Sauces and Hillfarm Oils.

Jo is the Chairman of the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor Delivery Board and brings with him a wealth of commercial experience.

He structured the first Sony UK and Amazon global trading agreement in 2001 as well as previously running Sony UK’s e-commerce business, which grew to be the largest in Europe.  In addition, Jo is currently working with a number of high-profile public and private organisations supporting their digital capabilities and strategic direction.

Marketplace AMP’s Commercial Director, Matt Anderson, said:

Jo’s knowledge makes him a strong addition to the agency, sharing our vision of how technology will influence consumer buying habits.  He is a highly respected international digital consultant with deep expertise in e-commerce and emerging technology.

Jo’s experience with working on high growth digital solutions strengthens the existing skill set of the Board and he joins us at a pivotal time where we are launching our new Alexa Skills division, offering clients Voice Strategy and UX design and Skills Marketing.

The Suffolk-based agency is currently launching a recruitment drive and is looking to double in size by 2020. The 10-strong team based in the UK are supported by multilingual teams based in France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
