CW Board Elections 2020 – Become a Director on the CW Board

CW News published by CW (Cambridge Wireless)

It’s election time again for CW! We are an organisation that is effectively owned by our Members and each year you have the opportunity to join the governing Board responsible for CW’s strategic direction.

If you’re interested in becoming a Director on the CW Board, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line to find out more about what it entails. It's a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to take on a leadership role in the technology industry and influence the future of our passionate CW community.

In 2020 we have three Directorships up for election and the Board is especially keen to use this opportunity to diversify further in terms of discipline, age, gender, ethnicity and other factors. David Cleevely, Faye Holland and Sylvia Lu are the Directors coming to the end of their current period of service – they can, of course, stand for re-election. CW would like to take this opportunity to thank each of them for the invaluable support and guidance that they have offered over the past three years.

The period for nominations is 30 March - 28 April. We will be writing out to all Founder and Associate key contacts to seek nominations for this position – if you’re interested in entering the field, you will need to talk to the key contact for your organisation’s CW Membership (if you don’t know who this is or you're not currently a CW Member, contact the CW Team). The elections will then be open between 30 April - 14 May.

The CW Board is formalising a feature of the election process. Regardless of whether you are an employee of a Founder or Associate Member company, you will be able to vote for all candidates in the field. This year we have two Founder Director seats and one Associate Director seats up for election. The two candidates receiving the most votes will become the Founder Directors. The third most popular candidate will become the Associate Director.
