Anglia Components has been named STMicroelectronics ‘UK Demand Creation Distributor of the Year 2021’, the award recognises Anglia’s exceptional performance for the second year in a row. The award presentation was made in person by Iain Currie, Managing Director UK & Ireland at STMicroelectronics when he visited Anglia in April

Commenting on the award, Iain Currie said, “Demand creation, or identifying opportunities where our innovative technologies can benefit customers, is one of the most essential aspects of the work of our distribution partners, and it is an area in which Anglia truly excels. We rigorously analyse demand creation performance for the whole of our UK network, assessing the opportunities identified and the business that followed. Anglia has a clear lead on this measure, and we congratulate their team on their hard work, dedication and standout service.”

John Bowman, Marketing Director at Anglia said, “Our relationship with STMicroelectronics has been strong and fruitful since we first engaged back in 1998. We are thrilled to receive this accolade from ST, which is one of the world’s largest and most innovative semiconductor manufacturers. We invest strongly in our Field Application Engineering (FAE) and Account Management teams, and this award reflects the energy and calibre of the Anglia team.”

Headquartered in Geneva, STMicroelectronics is one of the world’s leading semiconductor manufacturers, delivering solutions that enable smarter mobility, more efficient power and energy management, and the wide-scale deployment of the Internet of Things and 5G technology.
