The new LEOs and OneWeb: Connections for the Unconnected

The word “satellite” no longer means a single technology, and the newest low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations promise to provide 4G-quality connections to literally any spot on the globe, including at sea and in the air.  By 2022, being remote will no longer mean being disconnected, but each of the proposed systems has a slightly different approach – here’s an overview, and some specifics about OneWeb, the UK-backed system.
