Dr Harry Cronin, Head of Applications - Standards & Science, Iprova
Iprova uses AI to help humans to invent, helping inventors to create inventions faster, more systematically, and across broader domains than ever before. This talk explores how effective human–AI collaboration can enhance invention while preserving patentability, and considers how advanced AI could form a new “invention layer” linking scientific discovery to real-world innovation.
Dr Harry Cronin is Head of Applications - Standards & Science at Iprova, leading on the development of Iprova’s AI-based invention software for technical standards and scientific fields. Harry also leads on Invention-as-a-Service projects for a range of clients in telecoms and other high tech industries, and is an accomplished inventor with over 120 patents and patent applications to date. Prior to Iprova, Harry worked in R&D in printed electronics and defense electronics. He obtained his doctoral degree in Advanced Materials from the University of Surrey and his masters degree in Physics from Imperial College London.
