Within TfL, Technical Services Group are the department of London Buses that have been responsible for the development, implementation and operation of (ITS) technology to support London’s bus fleet.
We operate:
- iBus - the Worlds largest bus network Automatic Vehicle Location System 8500 vehicles across London's bus network
- Mid-Band PMR Radio System with up to 8000 subscribers per day
- AIRWAVE - implementation to support TFL for critical comunications
- Countdown - Real Time bus arrival predictions for all 19,000 bus stops
