Rob’s short presentation gives an overview of the Cultures of the Digital Economy’s (CoDE’s) recent research projects involving software development and user interaction. In particular the ‘Transforming Digital Music’ project (funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council) aims to bring novel audio interaction features to commercial music. An overview of the project concept will be given and we will consider how open source models might be utilised to reinvigorate the commercial music industry.
