Membership of Cambridge Wireless brings valuable business and networking benefits. Members have access to our range of Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and to an outstanding peer to peer network of wireless technology companies; an excellent space to grow new business or develop collaborative links.  

Membership entitles you to participate free of charge in any of the Special Interest Groups.  These currently include Location, Wireless Healthcare, Games, Short Range Wireless, Wireless China, Future Wide Area Wireless, Handsets, Software and Mobile TV and Multimedia. Cambridge Wireless offers two levels of membership Founder and Associate both available to all organisations.  However, Founder Members have access to a broader range of opportunities and privileges within the Cambridge Wireless hub.  Fees for both types of Membership are on a sliding scale, depending on the size of your organisation.

Founder Membership

Benefits:           

• Attend Cambridge Wireless high-level networking events, including the Cambridge Wireless Founders’ Dinner hosted four times each year (usually held at a University of Cambridge College) and with a noted after dinner speaker, as well as adhoc Cambridge Wireless VIP meetings.
• Attend Special Interest Group events and other events free of charge (full-day events normally cost £250.00 plus VAT per person).
• Display your company logo on the Cambridge Wireless homepage, which has high hit rates from the global wireless sector.
• Advertise jobs on the Cambridge Wireless jobs page. (This is a service exclusively for Founder Members.)
• Get free access to the Cambridge Wireless website Members Page.
• Post and regularly update your company or individual profiles and products/services information in the Directory, which is visible to all Members and Non-Members, providing a powerful networking and marketing tool.
• Post information about your business news and events to the website.
• Receive advance notice of events (using our free sign-up email alert service).
• Get free subscription to the Cambridge Wireless Newsletter.
• Develop or sponsor events with Cambridge Wireless, and champion new Special Interest Groups.
• Lead, develop and participate in discussions on wider business and investment opportunities.
• Constitutional rights; vote for up to four Cambridge Wireless Board Members and/or stand for election to the Cambridge Wireless Board.

Associate Membership

Benefits: 

• Participate in Special Interest Groups or any events free of charge (i.e. a full-day event costs £250 plus vat per person).
• Access the Cambridge Wireless website Members Page.
• Post and regularly update your marketing profile on the Cambridge Wireless web site Directory which is visible to all Members and Non-Members.
• Post information about your business news and events to the website.
• Sign up to receive free email alerts for the Special Interest Groups, other events and the Cambridge Wireless Newsletter.   

Membership Fees

The cost of membership, both at Founder and Associate levels, increases on a sliding scale, depending on the headcount of the company applying for Membership. (Taken as the organisation’s total UK staff number declared to Companies House.)

Joining Cambridge Wireless  

Founder and Associate Members can join Cambridge Wireless online and pay via Credit Card. Follow a simple step-by-step guide through signing-up to payment. Note: Founder Members and Associate Members of more than 21 employees can also choose to be invoiced.  Please download and complete the Founder Member Invoicing Application Form, or email us the information required in the form to admin@cambridgewireless.co.uk or fax to +44 (0)1223 421811 and we will process it accordingly. 

Non-Members may access Cambridge Wireless web site, and gain access to information about Cambridge Wireless events and opportunities, by becoming a Registered User.  Registration is free. Benefits include: 

• Free newsletter sign-up. 
• Free email alerts about a number of initiatives and activities in the following areas, Location, Wireless Healthcare, Games, Short Range Wireless and also regional/UK based and international events.
