The scenarios we create and how we interact shape who we are and how we are viewed by friends and outsiders. Technology is developing and moving with this trend, operators, platform and service providers are evolving their technologies to support this virtual environment.
Exploring how people use technology in unusual ways, this insightful half-day event will have a look at ways different generations utilise technology, from kids, through to millenials, to older generations. It will highlight innovative ways virtual technology is being used, enabling connections with people/machines to pure escapism through gaming, simulation. From sitting in front of a monitor to interacting with augmented reality and being immersed in virtual reality, what is real? Is the virtual world becoming so fused with the ‘real’ (physical) world that soon we won't be able to tell the difference?
Taking place at Cambridge Judge Business School this captivating event will challenge what it means to be ‘virtual’ and highlight the ways interaction is changing and how it is being utilised by people throughout the world. What is this virtual way of thinking? How does it affect the actions we take and can we spot the comparisons with the real world? What are the limitations in creating a high-fidelity virtual experience?
