About Microsoft Research

Established in 1997, Microsoft Research Cambridge is part of one of the world’s largest, most respected software research organisations, and home to world-class expertise in a number of research areas, including machine learning, systems, privacy and user experience to name a few.  It is focused on three core research objectives: to apply artificial intelligence to improve people’s lives; to invent intelligent infrastructure for the cloud; and to transform how we work by bringing humans and machines together.  In close partnership with product teams from across the company, outputs from the lab have contributed to some of Microsoft’s most successful products and services.
