What we do
Everything CW does is organised around three core purposes:
Collaborate
CW creates the conditions for meaningful collaboration, between organisations, sectors, and geographies.
Our Special Interest Groups bring together experts around the technology themes and business challenges that matter most, from AI-enabled networks and cyber security to spectrum policy, sustainable infrastructure, and digital inclusion. Our year-round programme of events – including flagship conferences such as the Cambridge Wireless International Conference, member networking events, dinners, and member-led events – provides the forums where the right conversations happen between the right people. For our most engaged members, we also facilitate hosted roundtables that create space for focused, senior-level exchange.
Learn
CW is a continuously evolving source of knowledge and professional development for the organisations in our community.
Through our SIG programme, Knowledge Hub, and CPD-accredited content, members stay ahead of the latest technology trends, market developments, and strategic shifts. We also run strategic innovation projects that generate insight and drive practical outcomes across the industry.
Shape the future
CW exists not just to reflect the industry but to help shape it.
Our facilitated discussions, roundtables, and SIG conversations create the conditions for new ideas to emerge, partnerships to form, and innovation to take root. Through our Tech Advisory Board and Early Careers Advisory Board, expert and emerging voices from our member community help guide CW's own programmes and priorities. Through international delegations and our global cluster partnerships, we extend our members' reach and influence beyond Cambridge. And for those organisations leading from the front, CW provides the platform, profile, and connections to set the agenda.
Where we're based
CW has its roots in Cambridge, England: one of Europe's most vibrant innovation ecosystems and the most intensive science and technology cluster in the world, according to the Global Innovation Index 2024. Our presence and deep reach here give our members and partners exceptional access to the people, businesses, research, and networks shaping the future of connectivity and digital technology, both in the UK and internationally.
