Company profile

Taylor Vinters is a successful next generation law firm with a commitment to being one of the elite law firms operating internationally in the areas of technology, investment and private client. Headquartered in Cambridge UK,  Europe's innovation capital, and operating from its offices in London, Singapore and Cambridge, its team of entrepreneurially-minded people serve an international client base of private individuals, fast-growth companies, multinational, investors and non-profits.

We firmly believe that law does not just exist in a vacuum, but operates within a commercial context. Our lawyers understand that. We are proud to make our own extensive network of contacts work for our clients – helping them with funding introductions, introductions to trusted professional advisers, support with PR and introductions to other clients where there is a clear business opportunity.

Taylor Vinters’ multi-disciplinary technology team has a long track record of helping some of the world’s leading and fastest-growing technology businesses.

Our lawyers are excited by the technologies our clients are developing and deploying. We bring to bear deep sector experience and technical expertise to enable our clients to meet their business objectives. We also believe that as well as passion for our clients’ technology, we have a distinct personality that enables us to align with our clients – and also don’t take ourselves too seriously and have a sense of humour (when appropriate!).

Our long-standing sector focus means our lawyers work in multi-disciplinary client-focused teams and have a deep understanding of it. Many of our technology lawyers have science degrees and are drawn from our corporate, employment (labour), intellectual property, disputes and property (real estate) teams.

We recognise that transaction and project management skills are an essential part of what we do. Our team includes a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner and, alongside our clients and other advisers, will co-ordinate the activities of the many parties that can sometimes be involved on a matter so that projects and transactions are delivered on time.

Digital media is an area we have become heavily involved with. Our clients range from exciting tablet-based medical information platforms and mapping software delivered though smartphones, through to new virtual businesses operating on the web relating to fashion. We advise on novel data issues, and currently we are considering the complex challenges arising in the developing area of augmented reality. We are particularly proud of our ability to find solutions to novel issues arising through the convergence of technologies occurring in the digital space.

These lawyers are deployed across our three offices: our Cambridge office is at the heart of one of the world’s leading and most well established technology clusters; our London office is based on the edge of ‘Tech City’ within a couple of minutes’ walk from Old Street roundabout; and our Asia Pacific office is based in Singapore.
