UK Trade & Investment: ‘Smart Grids’ Mission to Guangzhou, China 18 -22 March 2013
UKTI is developing an appraisal of this sector, and is planning a visit to China for UK companies to explore the opportunities that this investment is creating. The programme is likely to include:
- Beijing; meetings with China State Grid, and China Electric Power Research Institute.
- Changsha (Hunan province): Visit to Changsha Sustainable City, (Option to visit Zhuzhou Sustainable City), Meeting with Hunan Department of Science & Technology to explore the early concept of Hunan’s smart grid development, Visit to BYD Changsha Auto Co which assembles the pure electric car; and view of its energy storage facility.
- Guangzhou; Visit to Sino-Singapore Knowledge City, China China Southern Grid, Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute (involved in feasibility study/design of grid projects in Pearl River Delta and beyond), Yudean Group (with an MOU for Smart Grid Development with Donggyuan City).
We will design elements of the programme around the specific interests of delegates, and will release more details in early January 2013.
