Get inspired at The 6th Future of Wireless International Conference 2014!
The 2014 Future of Wireless International Conference examines the business opportunities and the wider societal benefits possible through the application of wireless technologies to positively change the world in new and imaginative ways.
Wireless communications has arguably already changed the world more than any other human invention. With well over half the population of the world now owning a wireless device, wireless technology has enabled fundamental changes in the way people communicate, conduct business and organise their lives. More people are connected to knowledge, information and tools than ever before. Products, objects and other “things” are being connected to each other in smarter ways – reducing costs, improving efficiency, and generating new types of value through information.
Our world and our societies now face significant challenges: sustainably managing the earth’s resources; lifting the next billion people out of poverty; managing the health of an older population; fostering educational attainment, health and economic prospects for a growing population; and harnessing the great diversity of human talent. The conference will examine how we can apply experience from the wireless industry – such as driving innovation, working in partnership, ensuring interoperability, developing ecosystems and providing diversity of choice – to new and bigger challenges and opportunities to change society and build successful future businesses.
