Kriss Akabusi to host NMI 2014 Electronic Systems Awards

NMI, the UK electronic systems industry association has announced “the big laugh" sporting legend Kriss Akabusi is to host its Gala Awards Dinner on November 20th at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London.

NMI, the UK electronic systems industry association has announced “the big laugh" sporting legend Kriss Akabusi is to host its Gala Awards Dinner on November 20th at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London. Derek Boyd, CEO of NMI commented "The staff at NMI are all very excited at the prospect of having Kriss along to present the awards. He's a great role model for the young, a motivational speaker for the not-so-young and for an industry so pre-occupied in ultra-low-power products, his high energy brand of humour will surely fuel the whole evening."

The awards ceremony takes place shortly after NMI's Industry Summit at the same location, with a focus this year on Growth and Investment. The day concentrates on the development of the industry in the UK whilst the night celebrates organisations, individuals and practices which will drive a healthy and vibrant industry. The organisers are aiming to repeat the success of last year’s event which was a sell-out. NMI invites all stakeholders with interests in the UK's gloriously diverse electronic systems industry, from engineers to politicians, to join the “debate then celebrate” activities.

Registration for the Industry Summit and tickets for the Gala Dinner can be booked via NMI’s website. The Industry Summit is free to attend.

Entries for the 2014 awards are open until the 30th September and information on all 13 award categories can also be found on the accompanying pages of the NMI website.
