CW supports the NHS & Royal Voluntary Service drive for volunteers at COVID-19 vaccination centres

This Christmas, CW are supporting the NHS and Royal Voluntary Service in the booster vaccination drive.  More volunteer stewards for the large scale COVID-19 vaccination sites are urgently needed.  If you have time over the coming months, you could make a real difference to the efficiency of the booster rollout in your area.

The minimum time commitment is just 2 shifts at a vaccination site each month. Shifts are up to 4 hours long.  There are roles available across the UK; in Cambridgeshire and the surrounding area this includes large scale vaccination sites at:

  • Cambridge's Grafton Centre
  • Peterborough's Queensgate Shopping Centre
  • Attleborough
  • Castle Quarter, Norwich
  • Dereham
  • Harleston
  • Huntingdon
  • Kings Lynn
  • St Neots
  • Wisbech

As a volunteer steward you will assist with the smooth arrival of people coming in for vaccinations.  You will ensure the efficient flow of people to clinical assessment, vaccination and exit while respecting social distancing. You’ll also identify people who require additional support.
