Professor Simon Saunders Awarded OBE in King’s Birthday Honours

Simon is a long-standing member of the CW community, serving as both a SIG Champion and a CW TEC 2025 Committee Member, and has consistently played a pivotal role in shaping thought leadership within our network.

In addition to his involvement with CW, Simon is a telecoms advisor and researcher, Chair of the UKTIN Wireless Networking Technologies Expert Working Group, and a co-founder of Real Wireless. He holds honorary academic positions as Honorary Professor at the University of Bristol and Visiting Professor at King’s College London. His work has significantly influenced both national strategy and industry innovation across wireless networks and telecommunications.

This award is a fitting recognition of Simon’s outstanding contributions to the sector and his continued commitment to advancing connectivity and innovation in the UK and beyond.
