Role: Digital Marketing Manager
We are looking for an experienced marketing generalist with heavy emphasis on digital strategy and execution to amplify our brand, programmes, and events across all channels. The role blends strategy and hands‑on tactical implementation with an overall aim of increasing acquisition, engagement, and advocacy across our events, conferences, and partnerships.
You will own our digital and events marketing strategies as well as execution and implementation of all marketing activities across all channels. And you will support the execution and implementation of our membership acquisition strategy and PR activities, which will be developed with external resource.
This role spans website management, SEO, paid search, email marketing, organic and paid social media, events marketing, content creation, community engagement, development of digital & print marketing collateral, and agency/freelancer management.
As CW’s primary in-house marketer, you will serve as the marketing point-person, coordinating all marketing activities and collaborating cross-functionally with:
- Marketing team:
- an internal Digital Marketing Degree Apprentice
- an external marketing agency/consultant focused on strategic development and oversight of expanding CW’s membership acquisition, as well as PR & media relations to amplify our brand and activities
- an external SEO specialist to enhance website performance and search visibility
- external designers
- Other internal departments:
- Events
- Business development
- Operations
- Finance
This collaborative model helps ensure strong brand cohesion and strategic alignment across all marketing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Events & Sponsorship Marketing
- Lead digital promotion for CW’s events, programmes, and initiatives.
- Drive event registrations and attendance through targeted digital campaigns.
- Develop the content for and oversee the design and printing of events and sponsorship-related marketing collateral.
- Support on‑site, marketing-related events delivery (media support, marketing-related sponsor support, and more), where needed.
- Organise and manage external resources for video creation, editing, and outputs.
Digital Marketing & Content Creation
- Plan and execute multi‑channel marketing campaigns across website, email, social, and paid media.
- Produce engaging content including blogs, newsletters, and social media content.
- Own and implement CW’s social media strategy, both organic and paid, driving awareness, engagement, and community advocacy.
- Own, develop and refine CW’s email marketing strategy, improving audience segmentation, reader experience, and overall performance.
- Collaborate with external PR resource on the development & delivery of press releases and thought‑leadership articles.
- Manage budget allocated toward paid marketing activities.
Website, SEO, & Performance
- Manage and update website content through CMS platform.
- Work closely with an external SEO specialist to implement SEO recommendations, analyse performance, and maintain best‑practice optimisation.
- Use Google Analytics to track results, prepare performance reports and drive continuous improvements.
Brand, Design, & Creative Oversight
- Coordinate the design and production of all marketing materials, both digital and print, ensuring adherence to the CW brand.
- Collaborate with external designers, videographers, and photographers to produce high‑quality digital and print collateral.
- Maintain high creative and editorial standards across all outputs.
Partnership & Community Engagement
- Build and maintain amplification partnerships across the technology and innovation ecosystem.
- Work collaboratively with sponsors, partners, and community stakeholders to support joint marketing initiatives.
- Represent CW at industry events when appropriate.
CRM, Data & Reporting
- Use CRM tools to support segmentation, lead nurturing, and pipeline visibility.
- Apply data‑protection best practice across all marketing activities.
- Report clearly and regularly on campaign performance and effectiveness and use insights to optimise future activity.
Cross‑Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with all CW team members to ensure brand and messaging alignment, fully integrated campaigns, and consistent user experience.
- Provide marketing support to Events, Business Development, and Operations teams to strengthen membership value and engagement.
Management
- Oversee the marketing work and priorities of our Digital Marketing Degree Apprentice. This may develop into line management role.
Skills & Experience
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ marketing experience, ideally in B2B tech, telecoms or membership environments, with heavy emphasis and proficiency in digital strategy, channels, and tactics.
- Experience in events marketing.
- Proven delivery of successful multi‑channel campaigns.
- Strong copywriting and content creation abilities.
- Working knowledge of basic SEO principles and best practice.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, email marketing software, social media management software, and collaboration platforms (e.g. MS Teams, Slack, etc).
- High level of expertise and experience using Canva.
- Confident working with CMS platforms and GA4.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple, competing deadlines.
- Budget management experience.
- Agency/freelancer management experience.

- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results driven.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £45,000–£55,000 (DOE)
- Contract: Permanent, full‑time (37.5 hours, Monday–Friday)
- Working model: Hybrid with flexibility, including school‑hours‑friendly scheduling
- Leave: 25 days + 3 days Christmas closure + Bank Holidays
- Pension: Company pension scheme
