How CW is approaching Coronavirus
Key features as of Thursday 5 March
- All CW events will be capped at 100 delegates until further notice. Larger events will be reduced in size, postponed or cancelled. CW is already reaching out to stakeholders who are affected by this policy. Please note that in some situations CW may be required to alter, postpone or cancel an event planned for fewer than 100 delegates when running that event contravenes the policy of a key stakeholder (such as the host, speakers or lead SIG Champions). We are already aware of members whose coronavirus policies include measures such as limiting inter-office travel, ceasing attendance at events and no longer hosting external guests on site. We expect such measures to become more common and more stringent in the coming months. CW will keep the website up to date and notify delegates of any changes to event logistics or agenda.
- Anyone who has been to a highly impacted area is not allowed to attend a CW event for at least fourteen days following their return. The responsibility for self-isolation lies with individual delegates. If CW learns that an attendee has been diagnosed with Coronavirus subsequent to attending an event, we will share this information with all other event delegates and stakeholders.
- If you are feeling unwell, CW requests that you stay at home and seek appropriate medical advice.
- CW will ensure appropriate personal hygiene facilities are easily accessible at all events. While it is the responsibility of individuals to minimise the risk of being infected or infecting others, CW will provide tissues and hand sanitizers for event attendees.
CW is monitoring the situation daily and will be proactively updating our policy in line with feedback from our community and guidance from the UK Government, Public Health England and the World Health Organisation. We apologise for any disruption that this causes to our members and ask for understanding as we seek to do the right thing for our community in a difficult situation. Please get in touch with the team if you have any questions or concerns. The office telephone number is 01223 967101 and you can email [email protected].
