Steve founded two IoT companies and led the development team of ACIS (now Vix Technology), growing them to become the UK’s largest bus telematics company.

Paul Morris is Vice President of the Communications Business Unit at EnSilica plc, where he leads the strategy, development and commercialisation of advanced wireless and semiconductor solutions. He began his career working on digital wireless technologies and semiconductor systems and has since built a distinguished career spanning over 30 years across both multinational corporations and high‑growth technology ventures.
Paul has held senior technical and commercial leadership roles at Qualcomm, CSR, Cadence and Symbionics, alongside key positions in several Cambridge‑based start‑ups. His experience bridges deep technical innovation with business leadership, encompassing product strategy, IP development, partnerships and market expansion in global technology markets.
He holds a First‑Class Honours degree in Electronic Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). Paul is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) in good standing and is the author of multiple patents covering wireless technologies. His career reflects a consistent focus on translating complex engineering innovation into commercially successful products and sustainable business growth.
With extensive experience across the Cambridge technology ecosystem, Paul brings a strong understanding of how academia, start‑ups, scale‑ups and established organisations can collaborate to drive innovation. He is passionate about mentoring future leaders, strengthening industry networks and supporting initiatives that promote the continued growth and global impact of the Cambridge Wireless and technology community.

Paul Tindall is a Senior Consultant at The Technology Partnership (TTP), where he leads work in 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), focusing on the architecture and realisation of satellite/terrestrial converged systems. With over 40 years’ experience in embedded systems across defence, wireless communications, and public safety, Paul is a highly experienced system architect specialising in complex radio platforms and software-defined systems. He began his career in defence systems engineering and holds a first-class degree from the Royal Military College of Science. His work in 5G NTN centres on translating emerging standards into practical, scalable implementations, with particular emphasis on architecture as a long-term strategic asset and the convergence of commercial and defence applications. He has held senior leadership roles including R&D Director and Head of Software at organisations such as Sepura and Viavi Solutions, leading large, international teams delivering mission-critical communication systems at scale. Paul brings deep expertise in software-defined radio, cellular protocol stacks, and system architecture, and is actively engaged in shaping how 5G NTN evolves from early deployment through to operational networks. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS).

Cyril is Technical Director with MediaTek in Cambourne where he is leading the Core Technology Division in the wireless business unit. He completed his PhD at the University of Surrey where he was looking at the use of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) techniques for multimedia satellite communication systems (in the heady days of Globalstar, Iridium, ICO, …). He has since spent 20 years in the semiconductor industry standardizing, architecting and developing wireless chipsets for numerous cellular communication standards. His team is currently working on a variety of development projects for 5G/NR solutions and he is personally very keen in exploring opportunities to apply these solutions for different applications.
