CW (Cambridge Wireless) is delighted to be a fully certified Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation provider. Delegates are able to claim CPD points for a selection of CW events and conferences going forward.
Getting CPD points from CW events
CW events and conferences are certified by the CPD Standards Office with CPD points being allocated on a self-assessment basis. It is the individual's responsibility to evaluate the learning benefit achieved by participating in an event, and to allocate points/hours/learning time/credits in accordance with your CPD practice. Delegates attending any of the accredited events can request a CPD Certificate of Attendance on sign up and can record their attendance towards their formal professional development.
What is CPD?
Continuing Professional Development (CPD), as the name implies, refers to the ongoing maintenance and development of professional skills and knowledge through a variety of activities such as attending training courses, conferences and events through to reading related articles and papers. Activities are logged so there is a record of your learning.
Why is it important?
CPD is crucial for both individuals and businesses as it ensures professionals keep up to date with current practice and knowledge which in turn maintains high industry standards. CPD enables the learner to focus on how they can become more competent and effective in their field and the confidence gained helps the individual progress their career. It helps individuals adapt to changes and demonstrates a commitment to ongoing self-improvement.
How is CPD recorded?
Individuals are responsible for keeping track of their ongoing CPD activities in a log which includes certificates of attendance, CPD self-assessment forms and personal record cards. CW will issue certificates for CPD accredited events which you can then attach to your record.
