What could you do with £25k in project funding?

The Technology Strategy Board intends to stimulate innovation by helping small or micro companies harness emerging growth opportunities and overcome the initial hurdles to development.

We have allocated over £6m to invest in feasibility studies lasting up to three months, each costing no more than £33,000 in total. We will fund 75% of the project cost (up to £25,000). Projects may be collaborative or carried out by a single company.

You can now make an application under one of our four feasibility studies competitions. The application is process is simple and straight forward, but you've got to be quick as your project application has to be in by noon 10 February.

About the 2011 feasibility studies competitions
Combined we have allocated over £6m to invest in feasibility studies lasting up to 3-months. You could receive a maximum of £25k in funding to see if an idea of yours is workable. The four competitions are:

1) Digital services for growth
2) Technology Inspired innovation covering the following areas: advanced materials, biosciences, electronics & photonics, high value manufacturing, ICT and nanotechnology
3) Innovation in space
4) Responsible development of nanoscale technologies

Join the competition group
To make your application as successful as possible we have set up dedicated competition groups. It's the place where you can find information like the competition scope document, register for related events, ask questions, and interact with peers in order to create a competitive application - and more. Join the group and you'll be able to reply to comments and questions under the articles tab, be able to access competition presentations and be notified when peers have left requests for competition partners.

To find out immediately about each competition and to make your competition application just go to one of our competition groups: digital, technology inspired, nanotechnology, and space. Good luck with your application.
