Advanced Secure Mobile is a service that uses single leg encryption to protect a call from being intercepted locally, but allows the user to call any number in the world. Calls can also come into the handset from any number and the leg of the call from the user to our secure network is encrypted. Within the network we can un-encrypt the call so that the other party in the call need no special software or capability. Where calls are made between two Secure Mobile handsets, there is complete end to end encryption and protection.
Standard Secure Mobile applications can only call other Secure Mobile numbers and provides end to end encryption with "man in the middle" protection as a specific feature. No call charges apply to calls between secure mobile numbers International numbers are available in many countries with the Advanced version The number can also be a UK local number. The secure numbers run alongside the standard mobile number and calls made to the secure number are always protected. A user can choose to use the ordinary mobile number to make a call (not secure) or use the secure number and dial screen for a protected call.
Handsets can be set up so that all calls are made securely at setup if required.
