Quindi Research launches energy prepayment newsletter
Next-Gen Energy Prepay is Quindi Research's newly launched newsletter for everyone interested in the evolution of energy prepayment. Published six times a year, each issue contains special features, case studies and industry news, to track developments in the transition to smart meter based energy prepayment around the globe.
The first issue includes a case study of US electric co-operative PenLight’s smart prepay programme, which in under two years has seen 78% of the outstanding debt recovered from the customers who’ve enrolled. As well as clearing their arrears, prepay is helping householders keep on top of their energy usage and avoid running up new debt.
Dealing with debt issues is at the heart of many of the emerging smart prepayment programmes in the United States and elsewhere, but Quindi Research anticipates that prepaying for energy could eventually become as popular as it is for mobile services. Our inaugural special feature looks at how suppliers can create a more customer-centric approach to electricity prepayment to pave the way for this transformation.
