The Radio Equipment Directive and European Standards –Time running out to comply – FREE WEBINAR

techUK Future Technologies Network, Communications Policy Council and ETSI invite you to join this free webinar to learn more about the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU - OJ L153 22 May 2014, which replaces the Radio & Telecommunication Terminal Equipment Directive (RTTED) 1999/5/EC

RED covers ALL equipment which intentionally transmits or receives radio waves with increased emphasis on efficient and effective use of spectrum, in particular by improving radio receiver requirements. This will mean in some cases equipment may need to be redesigned and/or tested differently to comply. EU Member States must apply provisions from 13 June 2016, industry has one further year to comply – time IS running out.

We have arranged for Dr Michael Sharpe, Director for Spectrum and Equipment Regulation at ETSI to give an update.
