Defend yourself and your company from digital threats
It may be a cliché - but you don't know what you don't know! Join Cambridge Network at Alconbury next week for a special breakfast briefing, when IT security expert Michael Yardley will share a wealth of practical hints and tips to keep you and your business safe online.
"Most people don’t think about security until after they’ve lost all the photos of their children as a baby, or the PhD thesis which they’ve spent three years working on," says Michael. "But it’s a fascinating subject and can save you a lot of time and hassle if treated responsibly."
With more and more people running businesses from home or bringing their own devices to work, the importance of protecting yourself against malware, viruses, phishing emails and the like has never been so relevant.
Join fellow Network members on Wednesday 3 June (08-10.30) at Alconbury Enterprise Campus (Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE28 4WX) for the workshop with Michael, who is IT and systems manager at Cambridge Enterprise Ltd, University of Cambridge.
Originally a life skills trainer, and then a human resources manager, Michael partially changed career again by focusing his staff management and psychology training on the Information Technology sector. Michael has managed a diverse array of projects during his career and has a personal interest in human-centred computing.
This event is open to all Cambridge Network members, with the content geared towards those with fewer than 50 staff.
To cover costs for these meetings there is a nominal charge of £15 / head for members. Please note that the fee is non-refundable for cancellation within five working days of the event.
