European Commission engaged in most ambitious programme of free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations in history
The European Commission is engaged in its most ambitious programme of free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations in history, potentially worth over £20 billion to the UK economy. Securing ambitious new EU FTAs that unlock new commercial opportunities for UK business is a top priority for the UK Government.
The joint BIS/DFID/FCO Trade Policy Unit is conducting a business survey about existing barriers to trade in Australia, New Zealand, Tunisia, Morocco and India. They are very keen to hear from UK companies on any challenges they face in these markets, which the UK Government can then seek to address through the EU’s FTA negotiations with these trading partners.
