Shape the future of CW – Call for Board Nominations

CW (Cambridge Wireless) are set to begin an election process which puts up for renewal the board position of incumbent directors whose term of office has expired. This spring only one Board member’s position is currently up for renewal, that of new Chairman Raj Gawera. Therefore CW are seeking nominations for this single Board position. Incumbents can be re-elected if they are nominated and also receive sufficient votes. The deadline for nominations is 23rd March 2016 after which the election process will commence on the 7th April.

The CW board has also recommended that the Articles of Association for the organisation be changed to allow the addition of a further two appointed Directors. This is a move to enhance the diversity of the board composition, to better represent the membership by recruiting board members from different backgrounds, different disciplines as well as improving gender diversity. Director level status would also be bestowed upon the CW CEO role. The Board would therefore comprise of twelve Directors overall, seven of whom are elected and five appointed.

 Any change to the articles requires 75% of the CW Founder Membership to agree in writing. CW will therefore soon be reaching out to its founder members for their opinions on the recommended changes.
