Getting the Energy into Cambridge Tech

Re-inventing the energy sector is universally acknowledged as the next big challenge for UK industry in the race to net zero. Join us to see what is being done to address one of the most important challenges for our planet’s future and how to be part of it.

Re-inventing the energy sector is universally acknowledged as the next big challenge for UK industry in the race to net zero.  Although Cambridge is synonymous with the leading edge of technology in multiple sectors, it’s rarely mentioned in conjunction with energy.

This full day event looks at the problems to be solved, the barriers which need to be addressed and the many innovations which are already emerging from the Cambridge’s technology companies and researchers, both in reinventing key areas and the early application of the IoT and AI to energy distribution and management.  Join us to see what is being done to address one of the most important challenges for our planet’s future and how to be part of it.

This event is the inaugural SIG from our new Connected Thinking SIG. This group has been formed from the Connected Devices Group and the Industrial IoT Group. After twenty years of espousing the best way to connect things, these two SIG groups believe it’s important to start connecting our thinking, working across industries to bring people together to solve some of our biggest challenges. Find out more about the group here.

The event is kindly hosted by the Maxwell Centre, Cambridge University and is free and open to all.
