The proliferation of new wireless standards has made low loss, narrowband filter design more important than ever. A straightforward design flow that can efficiently address this design challenge starts with narrowband filter design concepts, followed by modern cross-coupled filter principles. The resulting prototype filter can be turned into a 3D FEM model using ANSYS HFSS.
In this webinar we will demonstrate how you can use ANSYS HFSS to optimize you narrowband filter design according to this workflow. You will also learn how perfect equal ripple tuning of the model can be achieved using a port tuning process, and how the physical dimensions of the filter can then be adjusted with very few EM simulations of the complete filter.
