CW knocked 25% off the delivery timeline for ghd's concept connected hair styling product. We connected the R&D team of this global beauty giant to six start-ups, each with different but relevant domain knowledge, and facilitated a three month Innovation programme that centred on prototype development and knowledge exchange.

The Innovation Hub

CW joined forces with a leading international manufacturer with a global market-cap of over £100Bn to develop a prototype wireless internet-connected device. This three month programme didn't just draw on the skills and experience of IoT start-ups, but also some of CW's largest members. Further Programmes with this customer are being planned for 2020.

ghd Sustainability Challenge

A shorter programme run over just three "contact" days, this activity helped inspire the ghd R&D team on how to make their devices and premises more environmentally friendly.

Costa Coffee: Shop of the Future

Costa Coffee wanted to embrace technology to elevate the experience of their customers. We worked in partnership with them to deliver a day-long Coffee Shop Ideation event where companies pitched their innovative ideas to an expert judging panel who then mentored a selection before a final pitch to Costa Coffee executives.
