About James
James Thomas received a master’s in mechanical engineering from Brunel University in 2012 and has held varying engineering roles with technical and commercial responsibilities on numerous projects up to a $1.2B delivery. Having worked for a range of companies including, but not limited to, Ford Motor Company, Williams F1, Lockheed Martin, Ultra Electronics and TP Group PLC. In parallel to the delivery of these roles, James has founded and led an engineering consultancy firm, JET Engineering Services, which has been active and profitable for the last 7 years supporting several industries including maritime. Furthermore, James has now founded a second company JET Engineering System Solutions (JET) whose vision is to lead and deliver 5G connected technologies to provide environmental, security and safety benefits in the maritime sector. JET has managed to secure multiple 5G connected sea deployment contracts within the few years since the business was founded under James’ leadership, leveraging, and utilising his broad network acquired through the combination of his employment history and consultancy provided by JET Engineering Services.
