The final CW Workshop for the Autumn will provide delegates with a deployment model for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) in urban areas. CW is bringing together Renesas (IDT), AVX and Anglia for a technical, interactive discussion on key technologies that will enable and utilize FWA.
FWA offers specific locations a “fibre-like” service using mm-wave technology. Even better, it offers Gbps wireless speeds at a much lower installation cost than that of a physical fibre line. FWA is a real contender for “last mile” broadband access services.
This CW Workshop will offer insight into:
- Lowering the cost of deployment
- Minimising downtime / increasing reliability
- Disruptive market trends, such as Google Wireless (as a replacement to Google Fiber)
- Use cases that could benefit from FWA deployment
- HD/4K/8K video
- VR/AR gaming
- IoT
- Connected and autonomous vehicles
- Social media
Experts from Renesas (IDT) and AVX will explore both those solutions that are available today and those anticipated to come onto the scene in the future.
