Join us for the third event in a SJIC Sundowners series, a new initiative for companies across the St John's Innovation Park and the Cambridge tech and enterprise cluster.

SJIC Sundowners is a series of relaxed, late afternoon events with entrepreneurs, founders, investors and inspiring people, designed to exchange know-how, take risks and drive change.

We are delighted to announce Dr Kam Pooni, CEO of Glyconics, Entrepreneur and Mentor as our guest speaker.

Glyconics is at the forefront of diagnostic innovation, using infrared spectroscopy to analyse samples for proprietary markers of disease across a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Glyconics has been featured as Business Weekly Top 50 to watch 2018, Medicity Company of the Month Sept 2018 and won two EU Seals of Excellence awards .

Glyconics was recently included in the Journal of Mhealth Global Digital Health Top 100 companies. It is also shortlisted for the 2019 Business Weekly Awards recognising global impact of companies in the Cambridge tech and innovation cluster.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Kam is a highly accomplished senior business leader with a formidable industry reputation for driving entrepreneurship and commercial success within the sector. With 20+ years’ experience in Pharmaceutical and Medtech, he combines intuitive people skills with sharp analysis to drive commercial success.

His entrepreneurial spirit drives his focus and he thrives on data, continually looking and driving teams for that key insight and delving beneath top-line analysis to get to the heart of what the market needs. With a Ph.D. in Economics and an MA in International Banking and Finance, Kam’s passion is mentoring young entrepreneurs to achieve as success and helping turning seeds turn into acorns.

He has been Featured in CNN, Fox,, ABC, CEO Monthly Oct 2018 for contribution to the Future of Healthcare Business and recognised in 2018 by Business Weekly as a Healthcare Gamechanger.

Kam is also Mentor/Coach for Accelerate Cambridge, part of Cambridge University Judge Business School, a mentor at QIncubator at Queen Mary University London and Healthcare Expert Mentor/Advisor at Faster Capital Incubator.
