About the event

In collaboration with CPI, CW is leading a workshop aimed at bringing up to 50 innovative SMEs, experts and leaders that are active in the development of Digital and Internet of Things (IoT) products and services within and beyond the health sector, to understand the opportunities in the digital health market, and co-create product, access and commercial strategies.

This 1.5 day immersive co-creation workshop will inspire participants with the latest trends and customer priorities in digital health and help them connect the dots in conceiving or creating meaningful solutions.

Day 1: Attendees will get exposure to the key drivers and trends in health (NHS & beyond), learn & empathise with the health user journey and customer needs, and apply core principles of customer discovery, competition & unique selling points around sustainability to fine-tune their ideas into business-ready proposals.

Day 2: Attendees will learn to apply learnings from the Day#1 Business Canvas to a business pitch, gain confidence via a practice run of publicly pitching ideas in front of 50 people and discover how to create an early stage business plan & opportunity to turn their ideas into ventures.

Speakers

Samir Khan - CEO & Founder, Lighthouse Innovations Ltd

A health innovation strategist and global market access professional with more than ten years of experience within and beyond the Life Sciences and Healthcare arena, bringing user-centric design, evidence and commercial access solutions to public and corporate leaders investing in preventative and precision medicine, diagnostics, AI, digital therapeutics and system transformation. Strategic access advisor to Investors, top 10 FTSE Global Life Sciences and Healthcare businesses, NHS England and >50 growing start-ups on international market access, payer engagement on value-based pricing and risk-sharing agreements across oncology, rare diseases, mental health, and chronic inflammatory indications.

Recent roles include Panel Reviewer for NHSX-NIHR's AI Award 2020 (£250 million) and Strategy Advisor at Jiva.ai, GlycanAge, WeAreUpstart, Alphabiomics, Artidis, Eko Health, Us2.ai, Astra Zeneca, Symphysis Medical, Oxford Immune Algorithmics and Unbounded Future.

David Roberts - CTO - Special Projects, Cambridge Wireless

David is a technology leader with over 25 years experience working in the hi-tech arena. He has recently completed a successful project for ghd in conjunction with CW where he carried out the role of System Architect and facilitator.  Prior to this he worked in in the C-IoT space where he ran a multi-national R&D department that developed silicon and software designed for the burgeoning IoT market. He was also responsible for driving an agile transformation programme and assisting the organisation with their integration into a large Chinese multi-national telecoms company. Having started his career as a software developer working for BT and Acorn Computers, he went on to hold senior roles in a number of world-class organisations such as Symbian, Cambridge University and Citrix in the areas of Software Development, Project Management, Product Management, Research, Consultancy and Architecture. His background includes leading and developing teams involved in the creation of large-scale integrated hardware and software products, web-based services and CE devices. He is also highly experienced in large-scale agile development practices, agile coaching/transformation and creating and executing strategies for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of organisations.
