Algorithm Development Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the global leader in image sensors, working on regular generation of new products that are designed from scratch and taken through to mass production. This opportunity can be fulfilled at various seniority levels from those coming out of academia with a PhD up to 10+ years (Lead level) experience.

Key experience is in the development of image processing as well as deep neural networks (able to select and adapt architectures as necessary) and experience in the application of both. The team HQ will be in Hampshire, UK however can be fulfilled on a fully remote basis from within the UK and mainland Europe if the match is right!

Primary responsibilities

  • Develop image processing, computer vision and AI algorithms for a variety of applications
  • Selection of neural networks, training sets and image processing pipelines suitable for deployment onto edge devices
  • Contribute towards benchmarking and evaluating implementations both on PC and embedded platforms

Required experience

  • PhD in Computer Science or similar
  • 2-5 years industry experience, product-focussed 
  • Classical image processing techniques for feature extraction
  • Developing Neural Nets
  • TensorFlow
  • Computer Vision & AI (object detection, pattern recognition etc.)
  • Python, MATLAB, C/C++
