As a R&D Group Manager you’ll be responsible for managing a team of 10+ employees and will be accountable for the delivery of software solutions developed by this team.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for managing and allocating R&D that work in the Central Systems team to execute innovation projects for the business. You will be responsible for giving the necessary direction to make progress on the technology front relevant for the business.

 

  • Responsible for delivery of the defined Central Systems Roadmap

  • Responsible for adapting and managing the team competencies in line with R&D strategy

  • Manages the team resources with strong focus on execution, ensuring the right skills are provided for the various projects

  • Monitors and manages team progress & performance proactively

  • Drives Total Quality Management on all projects

  • Ensures team are trained, coached, motivated, developed, inspired, challenged with strong succession planning for all critical roles

 

Your qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in defining, managing and delivering complex software development projects in a business context

  • Proven track record in managing delivery risks and experience in the relevant application areas

  • 3+ years of experience with People management, coaching & leadership

  • 5+ years of experience in a related industry with proven track record of developing new software solutions using Python, Java, PHP successfully up until launch as an individual contributor or as a significant contributor in a team
