The world’s leading charging shelf manufacturer Crable, has joined forces with NTH Solutions to resolve challenges faced by the healthcare sector and help satisfy the needs of patients and staff countrywide.

The partnership will allow Crable, which is already supplying to NHS and Bupa hospitals and healthcare clinics, to meet demand for its wireless charging solution and expand further into the UK market.

Mobile phones, tablets and other portable devices are now essential parts of everyday life. It is therefore critical that charging solutions are made available as people make calls, take photos, increase social media activities and maintain business and social interaction.

Crable customers can share the benefits of the shelves with their workforce, patients and visitors who will experience a faster charge time of up to 50% more than other comparable wireless charging products. Healthcare providers can also meet their duty of care by reducing hazards caused by many different devices being powered by incorrectly utilised plug sockets.

Following four years of research and development, Crable was launched by William McClelland in 2020 to offer a unique innovation that provides a complete brandable and configurable charging shelf.

Each charging shelf features wireless chargers, USB ports and a choice of international plug sockets, designed to thrive in high traffic buildings and to withstand high usage.

NTH Solutions is an NHS owned company improving health and social care environments for staff, patients and the public with a proven track record of successfully launching products to the healthcare marketplace. Its status as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NHS will reassure customers across the NHS estate that they are sourcing a quality product from a reputable supplier.

Crable’s partnership with NTH Solutions will see patented charging stations readily available across the NHS supply chain and through procurement frameworks.

William McClelland, Founder and CEO of Crable, commented: “I’m delighted Crable is partnering with NTH Solutions. Crable offers the perfect solution to keep portable appliances charged throughout the day and helps to reduce the inconvenience of running out of battery power. Crables should be installed in any healthcare premises where people can value the opportunity to charge appliances safely and conveniently.   The free provision of ‘charge’ to patients, staff and visitors significantly increases satisfaction within hospital and other clinical settings’.

Shaun Fryer, Head of Commercial Services at NTH Solutions, stated: “This is an extremely exciting time for NTH Solutions and our partners at Crable. Wireless charging shelves are a perfect fit for our portfolio of innovative products which we supply to NHS Trusts nationwide. All the team at NTH Solutions are geared up and ready to supply Crables with the aim of significantly improving people’s experiences in healthcare buildings throughout the UK.”
