This session will chart how the Base Station antenna has evolved and has innovated over the last 30 years. As we embark on 5G there will be some big changes and challenges for the Base Station Antenna ahead; many more spectrum bands, many more MIMO orders, more form factors are needed. 5G re-ignites the appetite for Active Antennas with Massive MIMO with the debate of deployment economics and whether the Antenna will ultimately become part of the OEM solution or succeed to evolve further in a separate eco-system.
