LoRaWAN - Where next? 'Space, the Final Frontier

How far can LoRaWAN go?  The new LoRa LR-FHSS modulation scheme, adopted into the latest revision of LoRaWAN increases range and spectral density, allowing better in-building penetration.  In parallel, the Cubesat revolution allows deployment of gateways and relays in low earth orbit, extending coverage to areas where none exists.  This presentation covered the rise of infrastructure-less low power communications, the technology behind them and how hybrid terrestrial and satellite operation avoids roll-out-and-hope network planning.
