An SME Perspective on Engaging in Innovation for Defence Markets?

It has been well-documented that a large majority of small companies never obtain more than twenty employees at any time, a factor largely due to limited market access. After years of stimulating the ‘push model’, whereby government schemes provided direct support to SMEs, new challenge-led schemes were introduced in order to create ‘market pull’. Henk Koopmans, CMO of Plextek will discuss whether these types of scheme are really working within the defence and security sectors and how they can be improved.
