OpenClinical.net: an open access, open source model for crowdsourcing and sharing expertise

A key challenge for modern medicine is to ensure high quality and safe patient care while controlling costs. OpenClinical.net is a novel platform for crowdsourcing many kinds of expertise (think Wikipedia - except the authors publish machine executable models of practice, not just human readable articles). I am interested in exploring whether the OpenClinical.net concept is applicable in other domains of professional practice (e.g. Agriculture, Business, Engineering, Finance, Policing, Social care). The talk will outline OpenClinical's aims, technical approach and governance, and invite discussion with the audience about possible wider applications of this new form of knowledge sharing.
