The “Cloudified” 5G Network

5G is a key enabler of the digital economy, targeting to address the needs and requirements of many different verticals and use cases. As such, the 5G Network needs to be a jack of all trades, flexible and adaptable, much like the cloud is today. Virtualization is a technology that brings the two worlds together but, is it enough? This session discusses the key similarities and differences between the Traditional Cloud and the Telco Cloud, and what is required, in addition to virtualization, to make the 5G Telco Network truly “Cloudified”.
