Summary
The UXR community at Google is unique. As part of our group, you will have the chance to work not only with the other UXRs on your immediate team but to work and learn from UXRs across the company through regular in-person meetups, established mentorship programs, access to our internal research tools, and 20% projects. Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to key research activities including lab studies, surveys, design sprints, literature reviews, field research, and other forms of domain, formative and evaluative research for hardware and software systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineers, Product Managers, Researchers and Designers to solve problems and to prioritize user experience research questions.
- Ensure effective communication of research findings to project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Master’s degree with an emphasis on research methods (e.g. in social sciences, human-computer interaction, etc), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or a related field.
- Relevant work experience, including experience with early stage/new product conceptualization as well as the shipping of new version and/or feature enhancements of existing products.
- Experience in an applied research setting.
- Experience with survey research.
- Proficiency in one or more statistical software packages (R, SPSS, Stata, SAS, etc).
