Digital Catapult is looking for an Events Executive, who will be part of the Marcomms Team (Marketing, Communications and Events), working closely with various departments in the company and reporting to the Events Project Manager. The role will involve planning and delivering a large portfolio of internal and external events. Detail-focused, ideally with an interest in technology and innovation, the successful candidate will be flexible, a fast-learner and a good team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of managing multiple event deliveries against tight deadlines.

What You’ll Do

  • You will be playing a key role in planning and delivering a portfolio of events (physical, digital and hybrid) at and for Digital Catapult, its programmes, clients and partners- ensuring the organised/hosted events are relevant and aligned with the Digital Catapult and Events strategy. We are looking for someone passionate about developing a career in events management and excited to take a hands-on approach, gaining experience delivering a broad portfolio of engagements
  • You will manage events execution, ensuring that event logistics run seamlessly and with a holistic approach including room setup, delegate registrations, catering, audiovisual, clients & speakers relations, suppliers management, attendees engagement and feedback
  • This role focuses on assisting the wider Digital Catapult Team - in particular, Marketing, Business Development and other key departments, by delivering events that build brand awareness, create impact and drive sales performance
  • The Events Executive will also create events materials including agendas, presentations and briefing documents for generating function sheets, POs and events agreements, for assisting with tracking and reporting on events department highlights and outcomes of internal and external events. This role includes administration with monitoring and managing the Events Team inbox, ensuring the Events Department documents are kept up-to-date and creating tools and standard operational procedures for the team

What We’re Looking For

  • We are looking for a candidate with interest in corporate events, preferably for a technology business
  • Previous events management experience is desirable along with good organisational and communication skills as well as attention to detail
  • We are looking for candidates who are proactive, driven, self-confident with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, adaptability and a willingness to work flexibly, and outside of normal office hours such as on early morning or evening events are also required
  • Experience of using various online event platforms as well as G-suite will be a plus
