Summary
To strengthen security of our IT systems, we are hiring an IT Security Expert.
In this role you will analyze the security of IT systems, and collaborate with the responsible staff operating these IT systems and the representatives from the IT, Product Centers and Corporate Functions for all aspects of IT Security, from day-to-day operation security through ensuring security compliance. As part of the Information Security department, you will closely collaborate with other security experts in the u-blox Security Organization, and stakeholders in other functions to develop, continuously improve, and ensure the implementation of security policies and standards.
Your responsibilities
- Monitor for new vulnerabilities, evaluating trends, assessing risks and coordinating system updates in a timely manner based on risk.
- Proactively review / audit / and manage testing of IT systems to identify security issues and vulnerabilities.
- Support and monitor security related projects and tasks being undertaken by the IT teams.
- Support the definition of Information Security Policies, Standards and Processes and ensure adherence within the IT and Business teams.
- Serve as a security expert and raise awareness, communicate, and evangelize IT security topics and current threats within the IT and Business teams.
- Assess new IT project and tasks for security considerations, gather security requirements, assess risks, review designs for security compliance and ensure security testing.
- Interface with Supply Chain Security Management and Sourcing for security assessments of new and existing vendors from a security point of view and interact and be the point of contact with the Security Operation Centre.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
Your skills and experience
- Degree in computer science, security or equivalent education, security certifications would be a plus (e.g. ISO 27001, CISSP, CCSK).
- 5 years+ of proven experience as an IT Security Expert
- Analytical mindset with excellent ability to solve problems, identify strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
- Proficient communication, decision-making and organization skills
- Ability and willingness to travel globally
- Very good English skills, both spoken and written, Italian or German is a plus
- EU/EFTA citizen or resident with valid work permit for UK or Italy.
