Marketing and Comms Manager

Summary

Digital Catapult is looking for a Marketing and Comms Manager who will be responsible for a flagship programme in the cybersecurity space. The role’s focus is on creating and executing compelling marcomms plans to engage audiences and providing assistance across additional departmental activities. Reporting to the Marketing Team and working closely with our Innovation and Technology Teams, your time will predominantly be focused on raising awareness and creating content for a major cybersecurity project that explores the way we design digital systems. This project engages technology enablers and future industry users to build a more secure hardware and software ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and manage marketing plans and communications campaigns that drive success for our projects, including a key, cybersecurity focused, project
  • Manage marcomms activities and campaigns across a busy project, using a broad, integrated marketing mix. Ensuring we are on time and aware of key deadlines whilst prioritising the most opportunistic activities
  • Create compelling content, considering the best approaches to deliver succinct, segmented and targeted marketing material
  • Work with internal teams and key work partners on the production of communication assets, including publications, videos, marketing collateral and materials
  • Maintain and create content within a Wordpress based CMS
  • Report and analyse results across different channels and mediums, using industry knowledge and benchmarks to make learnings and recommendations for improvements

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant experience in marketing or communications, preferably (but not essential) from a technology business, start-up or agency
  • Experience across the full marcomms mix including PR, comms, content and marketing tools
  • Strong project management and organisation skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Great teamwork and collaboration skills, able to form successful working relationships with colleagues across the business
  • A proactive and clear communicator, able to translate complex technical and business concepts into clear and compelling content
  • Passionate about delivery (enjoys doing and thinking), driven and proactive
