Product Marketing Manager – Cambridge or Bristol

Do you have an engineering background with experience and a passion for marketing?

Do you have a working knowledge of how products are marketed?

Can you bring a curious mind and a can-do attitude to an organisation?

Who are we?

UltraSoC is a pioneering developer of analytics and monitoring technology at the heart of the systems-on-chip (SoCs) that power today’s electronic products. Our embedded analytics technology allows product designers to add advanced cybersecurity, functional safety and performance-tuning features; and it helps resolve critical issues such as increasing system complexity and ever-decreasing time-to-market.

What we are looking for?

Our talented and productive engineering group keeps up a fast pace of innovation. Your role will be to provide our customer-facing teams with the tools that they need to communicate the features and benefits of those innovations, in a compelling, concise way. You’ll be piloting new products through our New Product Introduction process, so you’ll need to be able to understand in-depth technical information coming from the engineering team. And you’ll be comfortable translating that into a range of assets including product briefs, presentations, videos and other documentation that “tells a story” to our customers and potential customers.

What will you deliver?

·Provide end-to-end marketing support for introducing new products, from discovery to market validation to release, using our NPI (new product introduction) process

·Articulate the technical differentiators of a product and work alongside Product Management team to continually improve our product positioning and communication

· Work with product, engineering and marketing teams to produce the coherent technical documents

· Apply marketing best practices in the context of a nuanced technical audience

·Create supporting documents, product briefs, sales documents, and ad hoc presentations that enable the sales team to do their job

·Undertake competitive analysis and research to understand customer use cases

What do we need?

· A background in electronics/semiconductors/embedded systems and a demonstrable desire to move into product marketing or product management

·Ability to produce documents communicating complex concepts, technical solutions and customer value

·Comfortable communicating to both internal and external stakeholders

·Ability to view technology products from the perspective of the customer’s needs

·A multi-faceted approach to problem solving – how to solve customers’ problems not solely engineering problems

·A clear passion for marketing, a strong attention to detail and tenacity to probe and challenge the technical team

· A learning orientation and willingness to make the role your own

· A degree in a STEM subject

·An intermediate level of Office suite is essential

What would be beneficial?

·     Previous experience working for a start-up/scale-up company

·     Knowledge of electronics, the semiconductor IP industry, or embedded systems

·     Experience of producing customer-facing technical documents

·     Experience of producing marketing collateral to support a sales team

·     Previous use of project management tools (SaaS based)
